A Doll Worth Waiting For
Anyone else feel like their children’s toys multiply in the night? (face palm)
And we are still in that phase where they would rather play with the box it came in rather than the actual toy! SO for me as a mother, I am always trying to find something different that won’t be thrown in a garage sale a few years later.
When we came across @theyarnball_creations thanks to another Momboss we loved what she could do with yarn! I’m not on the artistic side of things (my four year old is a better artist) so my hat goes off to anyone who is creative and artistic and especially to Sarah, the owner of @theyarnball_creations. What she can do with yarn, and the details she puts into her creations and dolls just amazes me!
As we were trying to decide on which creation Sarah would do- I almost went with Poppy from trolls….because my youngest is Poppy in human form 😀 However, when I saw Sarah offered custom work- I wanted something that my youngest could have forever, and would want to keep forever. Something that was a little different….so I had Sarah do a doll of her!
I sent her a few pictures of what my daughter looks like, told her she liked to wear sun dresses and let Sarah fill in the gaps- and she did not disappoint. There is so much detail in the doll- She has pig tails with yarn, shoes made out of yarn, the whole sundress is made out of yarn….you get the picture! SO.MUCH.DETAIL!!
My little girl has been dragging this doll around ever since the package came! And it is definitely something that we will hold onto forever.
